US Crypto ETFs Record Mixed Session as Bitcoin Funds…

US-listed cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds delivered another mixed session on July 29, with spot Bitcoin ETFs returning to net inflows while spot Ethereum ETFs posted a second consecutive day of gains at a more modest pace.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted a combined $89.8 million in net inflows, reversing the previous session’s weakness as institutional investors selectively added exposure ahead of the Federal Reserve’s policy announcement. According to Farside Investors, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the session, while the broader category finished firmly in positive territory. Spot Ethereum ETFs also remained in positive territory, recording approximately $9.4 million in net inflows. Although considerably smaller than the stronger inflows seen earlier in July, the result marked the second consecutive day of positive flows for Ethereum investment products, suggesting institutional demand continues to stabilize.

The latest ETF data arrived as cryptocurrency markets traded cautiously ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee’s interest-rate decision. Bitcoin hovered near the mid-$64,000 range, while investors balanced improving ETF demand against macroeconomic uncertainty and expectations that policymakers would leave rates unchanged.

Bitcoin ETFs Recover as Institutions Return

The rebound in Bitcoin ETF flows suggests institutional investors remain willing to accumulate exposure during periods of market consolidation. Although recent inflows remain below the levels recorded during the strongest buying periods earlier in the year, they indicate that large asset managers continue to view price pullbacks as opportunities rather than reasons to exit the market. BlackRock has remained the dominant destination for new institutional allocations throughout 2026, while Fidelity and several other issuers have also consistently attracted fresh capital during periods of positive sentiment.

ETF flows remain one of the most closely watched indicators in the digital asset market because new subscriptions generally require issuers to acquire additional Bitcoin in the spot market. Sustained inflows can therefore provide underlying support for prices even during periods of macroeconomic uncertainty.

Ethereum Maintains Positive Momentum

Ethereum ETFs continued their quieter but steady recovery with another day of net inflows. While the $9.4 million added on July 29 was significantly lower than the triple-digit million-dollar inflows recorded earlier this month, extending the positive streak remains encouraging for investors monitoring institutional adoption of Ether. The moderation in inflows may also reflect investors waiting for greater clarity on interest rates and broader market conditions before making larger allocations.

Overall, July 29 reinforced a trend that has emerged over recent weeks: institutional demand for regulated crypto investment products remains intact, even if daily flows fluctuate. With the Federal Reserve’s policy decision, ongoing congressional debate over digital-asset legislation and continued product innovation across the ETF market, institutional capital is likely to remain a key driver of cryptocurrency prices during the second half of 2026. As long as Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs continue attracting net inflows, they should provide an important source of support for the broader digital-asset market.
