Arm Holdings ADR stock surged 5% in trading as the company’s role in Nvidia’s Open Agent Safety Platform continued to attract investor interest.

Arm-based processors have been confirmed to handle both artificial intelligence agent execution and safety monitoring functions across Nvidia’s BlueField 4 hardware and related infrastructure.

The development highlights the expanding use of Arm’s CPU intellectual property in AI workloads beyond its traditional smartphone market.

The stock’s gains also come as Arm CEO Rene Haas has pointed to easing supply constraints affecting the company’s AGI CPU chip.

Haas has also expressed confidence in capturing the full $2 billion in identified customer demand.

Arm shares rebounded about 20% during September after nearly halving from their June peak.

Analysts, including Piper Sandler, have highlighted server CPU design wins and partnerships with hyperscalers as potential long-term drivers.

Arm benefits from broader semiconductor rally

Arm’s gains came amid a broader rally in technology and semiconductor stocks.

The Nasdaq rose 1.13% to a record high as falling crude oil prices and declining US Treasury yields supported a risk-on move into technology and semiconductor shares.

The S&P 500 gained 0.69%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 0.42%.

The market backdrop provided additional support to Arm as investors assessed the company’s growing exposure to AI infrastructure.

Its involvement in Nvidia’s BlueField 4 hardware adds to the areas where Arm-based processors are being used in AI-related systems.

Technical indicators show strong momentum

Arm is trading above its major moving averages, with the stock about 8.03% above its 20-day exponential moving average of $286.07. It is also nearly 11% above its 50-day SMA of $277.35 and roughly 31% above its 200-day EMA of $235.51.

Arm Technicals

The stock’s MACD remains above its signal line, while the histogram is positive, indicating continued bullish momentum based on the technical indicators provided.

Arm also formed a golden cross in April, when its 50-day SMA moved above its 200-day SMA.

However, the stock’s distance from its shorter-term moving averages could increase volatility if momentum weakens. Traders are watching resistance around $337 and support near $298.50.

Earnings and analyst forecasts in focus

Arm’s next major catalyst is its expected November 4 earnings report.

Analysts expect earnings of 43 cents per share, compared with 39 cents a year earlier.

Revenue is projected at $1.34 billion, up from $1.14 billion in the year-ago period.

The stock trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of about 298.

Arm has a Buy consensus rating and an average price forecast of $319 from 46 analysts, with individual forecasts ranging from $150 to $500.

Rosenblatt maintained a Buy rating while lowering its price forecast to $250. UBS also maintained a Buy rating while cutting its forecast to $320. Morgan Stanley maintained an Equal-Weight rating while raising its forecast to $212.

Investors will be watching Arm’s upcoming results for evidence of how easing supply constraints and demand for its CPU technology are translating into financial performance.
